The current state of the
governance reshaping project
In August of 2008, the Board of Directors continued its ongoing discussion on the evolving state of the governance reshaping project. Begun in 2006, this project aims to modify the governance structure of Toastmasters International in a way that positions the organization to best meet the needs and challenges of the future and best meet the needs of our members. The current thinking of the Board of Directors on this subject has been summarized in a new document, which is provided here in PDF format.
Last February, the Board released a previous document describing the state of the governance reshaping project at that time. Since then, the members of Toastmasters have voiced their opinions on many aspects of the project, and the Board has listened. This feedback, together with the Strategic Planning Committee’s thorough re-examination of the previously recommended changes, has resulted in a series of changes to the governance reshaping plan.
